Finally, Facebook has adapted its API to allow the Twitter application to update users’ facebook status!  I have been using the Twitter application to post my ‘tweets’ to my profile and News Feed since just after the platform launch and ever since I have hated the redundancy of having to update twitter and facebook, but now the two can run through fields of daisies and sing campfire songs together.

To give Twitter permission to update your status, jsut go into the application page and click on the header that allows you to grant permission.  Then every 30 minutes, facebook will automatically update via your twitter updates.  I just activated mine, so I haven’t see it in action yet, but it definitely fills a big gap that has been left open to this point!   Thanks to Mashable for the heads-up.
