Welcome to Your New Facebook Array?

I just logged into facebook and saw as my homepage (the ‘home’ page in facebook, not my browser’s homepage) was loading that the page title has changed. It has always said ‘Facebook | Home’ at the top of the browser or tab, depending on what browser you use…similar to when you view a profile it says ‘Facebook | <username>’. However, now it displays ‘Facebook | Array’ See the screenshot I just took of Firefox after I logged into facebook:

You can see at the top as well as on the tab, where the new page name is displayed…I really have no idea what it means, but it seems like a change in semantics that might precede a design shift or a change in the UI for the site. I wouldn’t think that either of those would be high on facebook’s list of priorities with their upcoming advertising platform launch…maybe this is tied into that somehow? After clicking around a bit, the new page name is displayed when you view your ‘Networks’ ‘Inbox’ or ‘Home’ pages…anyone have any insight to this change?

It does seem to make a bit of sense…most people who have been on facebook since the beginning remember when your profile was your ‘home’ page…so maybe this naming change is meant to more clearly define the role of different sections of the site.

UPDATE: (10/31 8:00am) This has all been changed back! Now my browser once again displays ‘Facebook | Home’ as well as ‘My Networks and ‘Inbox’ for those respective pages…new screenshot of everything back the way it should be:

UPDATE: (10/31 9:25 pm) I just realized that when I made the post about the Twitter update, the screenshot was saved as ‘Picture 2′…the same file name as the screenshot I had posted above for the current facebook view (I was on different computers so the filename didnt change) so I am only hosting one  ‘Picture 2′ so this post switched images…I’ll try and fix this tomorrow…in the meantime, it’s Halloween and I am going out…
