I love Foursquare, an online game that allows you to ‘check in’ to venues from your phone, earning you points for a variety of achievements at each check in.  Its a great iPhone app for seeing what your friends are up to and casual competition against friends and others in your city.  And it gives you some interesting stats like these after awhile:

Anyhow, apparently one venue is now giving the ‘mayor’ a free drink with each visit! ‘Mayor’ is what you become if you’ve checked into a venue more than anyone else.  Very cool way that bars and restaurants can connect with frequent patrons… I’ll be interested to se if it catches on.
